Focus of the Practical Semester
The main focus of my practical semester in the Human Technology Interaction Research Unit at the Fraunhofer IAO was the development of a user interface concept for a travel application based on scientific methods. I was included in the whole process from research, design, prototyping and testing. The creation of different design variants was also relevant. The development of logos and graphics was another part of my internship. In the field of web design, I mainly dealt with the current Fraunhofer website.
Travel Application
During my practical semester I developed a travel application. The main purpose of the travel application was to assist in organising business trips - from planning to accounting. I was included in the whole design process from the research, wireframing, design, prototyping and testing. I am not allowed to publish the results.
Web Re-Design
I also worked on the current Fraunhofer Website to make it more user-friendly. First I analysed the current website and made an overview of all the topics and clustered them. Afterwards I made Wireframes and changed the website directly with the program Q5.
Logo Design
Another part of my internship was to develop logos for different companies. Most of the time was limited by the CI of the company, but sometimes I was completely free in the design of the logos.
